Fluid Levels
- Locate and describe the procedure for determining each of these critical fluids are at the proper level:
- Oil
- Coolant
- Power Steering
“With the engine off I would inspect these critical fluids for proper level. The engine oil I would check by removing the dipstick, wiping it off with a clean rag, fully inserting it, removing it again and make sure the oil was between add and full. The coolant I would check using the marks on the reservoir. The level must be above the minimum and below the maximum based on whether it was hot or cold. The power steering fluid reservoir also has marks I would use to determine it was at the proper level.”
