“I would inspect the power steering box is securely mounted and not leaking. The hoses and the connections on both ends should not be cracked, worn or leaking. None of the hardware, including the nuts and bolts or cotter keys can be missing. I look for signs of damage on all of the visible connecting links, arms and rods from the steering box to the wheels. And finally the joints and sockets cannot be loose or excessively worn.”
